      BRANSON POYNER races a 1934 Chevy Coupe Legends Car.

''In the summer of 2009 we purchased another Legends Car, exactly the same as our first, except it was newer!  The first car went on to be sold and we started racing the new car in the closing rounds of 2009, still in the previous owners colours. In 2010 we will have the car resprayed in the team colours of purple and yellow with a few extra finishing touches.''

Legends Cars are 5/8th scale replica fibreglass models of 1930's Ford and Chevrolet, either Sedans or
Coupes and powered by
Yamaha motorcycle engines.
It's a fun and affordable
racing opportunity and the
series attempts to fight the
high costs involved in racing.
The rules are strictly
enforced to ensure safety
and cost control.

With over 40 registered drivers in Oval Track Legends, they guarantee exciting, hard fought, nose to tail racing wherever they appear.  Performance enhancements are NOT ALLOWED.  Therefore, the emphasis really is on driver ability.  Hard compound tyres combined with a short wheelbase give the cars their own unique handling characteristics.
